We have been hit with increasing energy costs, and our membership numbers are reducing with all of the retirements. We cannot survive without a strong membership and support over the bar. So we ask you to, try and encourage your colleagues to join us. It is really simple using the links on our website. And, call in a little more often. Use your Club when you are in town, meet up for a drink, before heading off, call in if your out shopping on a Saturday. Ultimately, make use of us, because this year has been tough, and we need your continued support. MEMBERSHIP CARDSWe have many membership cards waiting to be collected by members who have either joined the Club or requested a new Card. Some of them have been here for some time. We are Spring Cleaning the Card box, and if there are any cards that were prepared prior to 2024, they will be removed and destroyed. If you are a Club member and have not yet collected your card, please do so as matter of urgency please. We have also carried out some spring cleaning on our membership database, and deleted all of those members who have retired and not continued with their membership from their pension. I have endeavoured to make sure that everyone who has continued to support the club in retirement, has been transferred to our retired list, but I may have missed one or two out. If for any reason, your membership card does not work on the door, please accept my apologies, and speak to the staff, we will rectify any problems within 7 days. CHRISTMAS 2024 The Clocks go back this weekend, and Xmas is drawing near. Our diary for December is filling up with bookings for for shift / office Xmas Parties. If you are planning on using the Club, please get in touch sooner rather than later to avoid Disappointment. DECEMBER IN THE CLUBThe Club is extending its opening hours in December to accommodate everyone's festive nights out. For the month of December, The Club will be open from Mon To Sat, opening at 5pm (12 noon on a Sat). But please try and let us know if you are planning on calling in, in any numbers. HAPPY HOUR The Club is trialling a new happy Hour, targeted at our members. So instead of discounts on a few selected drinks, this means that Club Members get a whopping 25% discount on all Draught beers, Bottles and House Wine. Happy hour runs from 5pm till 7pm on a Thursday and from 12 noon till 3pm on a Saturday. (Not available during functions and football matches) MEMBERS PRICE DISCOUNTRemember that Club members always get a 10% discount on all purchases when using your Club Loyalty Card. Loyalty cards are available from behind the bar, upon production of your membership card. These cards are non transferable, and cannot be passed amongst your friends and family FUNCTIONS IN THE CLUB DECORATIONSIf anyone is planning a function in the Club, and for those functions that are already booked in, can I remind you all of a couple of Club rules. Under no circumstances are any decorations to be stuck onto our walls. You can use the window frames, or the marble mantle pieces, but not the walls. The reason for this, is that the Club was only decorated last year, and we have kept it in pretty good condition. When decorations are stuck onto the walls with cellotape or blu tac, the paint gets pulled off when they re removed and leaves the walls in a poor state. So Please do not do it. BUFFETSIf you are providing a buffet for a function, there is a £30 clean up fee charged by the Club to clear up the mess afterwards. This fee is payable in advance of any function. And, when bringing Buffets in to the Club, may we ask, that they are provided on disposable platters, which can be disposed after the function. We simply do not have the space to store used buffet platters for days on end. THE CLUB IS NOT THE SAME AS THE NPSSCCan I remind everyone that membership of the Spots and Social Club does not afford you membership of the Club. There has recently been an increase in the number of people visiting the police club, mistakenly believing they are members when they are actually members of the NPSSC. Remember that membership at one club does not afford membership of the other. Occasionally, when customers are asked about their membership, we often get shown warrant cards and NPSSC membership cards, this does not make you a member of the Club. So, if you are not a club member, you are more than welcome to join us. Simply go to our website at www.northumbriasc.co.uk and complete the relevant form. Any questions about this, please do not hesitate to ask me. FIZZ FRIDAY Fizz Friday continues every Friday night, with large bottles of Prosecco only £10.99. Offer available to members only CLUB MEMBERSHIPAnyone looking to join the Club and cannot work their way around our website, the links for the two most popular memberships are listed below. https://www.northumbriasc.co.uk/full-membership-form https://www.northumbriasc.co.uk/retired-membership-form https://www.northumbriasc.co.uk/annual-membership-form CLUB 100 DRAWBy Popular demand, we have opened up the Club 100 Draw to new members, and I am targeting 200 players The Club Draw has currently sold 187 tickets for the monthly draw at a cost of £10 per number, our regular monthly jackpot is £1,000 and we have now introduced a second prize of £300 If anyone wants to join us, or if you already play, and just want another number, please contact me at [email protected]. FINALLY, A BIG THANK YOU TO THE FED The Fed have been a long term supporter of the Club, and assist us financially to provide you all with Sky and BT HD sports channels. They operate two fantastic schemes, which we encourage you all to have a look at and consider. https://www.norpolfed.org.uk/group.htm - Group Insurancehttps://www.norpolfed.org.uk/nphs.htm - Healthcare The Directors. -

THE CLUB IS NOT THE NPSSC
THE CLUB IS NOT THE NPSSC Can I remind everyone that membership of the NPSSC does not afford you membership of the Club. We are two separate organisations. Please be aware that if you are asked for proof of membership in the Club, production of a warrant card or NPSSC card is not sufficient. Any questions about this, please do not hesitate to ask me. -

PARTY BUFFETS
If you are planning a party in the Club and are having a buffet, may I please ask that all buffet plates and dishes are collected from the Club the next trading day. We do not have the space to store used buffet plates etc, so may I remind everyone , that all buffet platters and trays from party buffets must be collected the next trading day of the Club or they will be disposed of. So when ordering a buffet from any supplier, please inform them, that the platters etc will be disposed off unless collected the next day. -
