CLUB XMAS PARTY
After the success of last year's Club Xmas Party, we are running the same thing again on Friday 20th December 2024.
The Club will be open from 1pm, with loads of different drinks promotions during the course of the day.
Coupled with some banging Xmas tunes
THE FAMOUS BYKER XMAS BOTTLE DRAW
I was first introduced to the Club by Tommy Devlin, whilst working at Byker, and every Xmas we ran a simple Xmas Bottle Draw.
A simple raffle, where ALL proceeds are put into prizes.
I think it's time to reintroduce it, so we are selling raffle tickets, which are available from behind the bar. They are £1 a strip, and the draw will be made during the Club Xmas Party on Fri 20th December.
Please give the staff your name, membership and tel no, so we can contact you if you are not in when the draw is made
Every penny made in ticket sales will be exchanged for prizes.
CHRISTMAS 2024
As you can see from our diary of events above, we still have a couple of nights available for members to utilise if they wish.
If you are planning on using the Club, please get in touch sooner rather than later to avoid Disappointment.
INCREASED MEMBERS PRICE DISCOUNT
The Club has increased the discount available to Club members using our Loyalty Card.
Club members now get a 15% discount on all purchases when using your Club Loyalty Card. Loyalty cards are available from behind the bar, upon production of your membership card.
But REMEMBER, these cards are non transferable, and cannot be passed amongst your friends and family
FUNCTIONS IN THE CLUB
DECORATIONS
For those of you who are planning a function in the Club, can I remind you all of a couple of Club rules.
Under no circumstances are any decorations to be stuck onto our walls. You can use the window frames, or the marble mantle pieces, but not the walls.
The reason for this, is that the Club was only decorated last year, and we have kept it in pretty good condition. When decorations are stuck onto the walls with cellotape or blu tac, the paint gets pulled off when they re removed and leaves the walls in a poor state.
So Please do not do it.
BUFFETS
If you are providing a buffet for a function, there is a £30 clean up fee charged by the Club to clear up the mess afterwards. This fee is payable in advance of any function.
And, when bringing Buffets in to the Club, may we ask, that they are provided on disposable platters, which can be disposed after the function. We simply do not have the space to store used buffet platters for days on end.
MEMBERSHIP CARDS
We have many membership cards waiting to be collected by members who have either joined the Club or requested a new Card. Some of them have been here for some time.
We are Spring Cleaning the Card box, and if there are any cards that were prepared prior to 2024, they will be removed and destroyed.
If you are a Club member and have not yet collected your card, please do so as matter of urgency please.
We have also carried out some spring cleaning on our membership database, and deleted all of those members who have retired and not continued with their membership from their pension.
I have endeavoured to make sure that everyone who has continued to support the club in retirement, has been transferred to our retired list, but I may have missed one or two out.
If for any reason, your membership card does not work on the door, please accept my apologies, and speak to the staff, we will rectify any problems within 7 days.
THE CLUB IS NOT THE SAME AS THE NPSSC
Can I remind everyone that membership of the Spots and Social Club does not afford you membership of the Club.
There has recently been an increase in the number of people visiting the police club, mistakenly believing they are members when they are actually members of the NPSSC. Remember that membership at one club does not afford membership of the other.
Occasionally, when customers are asked about their membership, we often get shown warrant cards and NPSSC membership cards, this does not make you a member of the Club.
So, if you are not a club member, you are more than welcome to join us. Simply go to our website at www.northumbriasc.co.uk and complete the relevant form.
Any questions about this, please do not hesitate to ask me.
CLUB MEMBERSHIP
Anyone looking to join the Club and cannot work their way around our website, the links for the most popular memberships are on our website. www.northumbriasc.co.uk
CLUB 100 DRAW
By Popular demand, we have opened up the Club 100 Draw to new members, and I am targeting 200 players. We currently have 190.
The Club Draw has currently sold 191 tickets for the monthly draw at a cost of £10 per number, our regular monthly jackpot is £1,000 and we have now introduced a second prize of £300
If anyone wants to join us, or if you already play, and just want another number, please contact me at [email protected].
FINALLY, A BIG THANK YOU TO THE FED
The Fed have been a long term supporter of the Club, and assist us financially to provide you all with Sky and BT HD sports channels.
The Directors.
If you are planning a party in the Club and are having a buffet, may I please ask that all buffet plates and dishes are collected from the Club the next trading day.
We do not have the space to store used buffet plates etc, so may I remind everyone , that all buffet platters and trays from party buffets must be collected the next trading day of the Club or they will be disposed of.
So when ordering a buffet from any supplier, please inform them, that the platters etc will be disposed off unless collected the next day.
